Remember taking pictures of the process so that you can use them to create your own graphic organizer.

Changing style!

Hello you all guys!

There it goes our Changing style proposal! As we have seen, there were many different art styles during the XIX century, mixed in time and geographic location. What we need to do is to change the artist works and styles. That is to say, we have to choose one artist from each style on the mind map and paint his/her masterpiece in another different style.
I post you some descriptions of the styles mentioned for you to make a brief description of your art work. Use at least three adjectives to describe the style you have worked with.

Pointillism: http://tldrify.com/byw

Don’t forget writing the index card mentioning the artist, new and old style and what we can see on your new version of the painting.

How much do you know about the XIX century Art? Try it!!

Artists at work. That is what we are!

It seems that we are always working, and that we are the only one at the whole world working, but there are some others, and there where many artists before us. But how did they create their master pieces?
There we have some videos where we can see Picasso, Pollock, and some others painting and creating. It is also a good way to see how our work emerges from a white canvas and how it grows up.
We have to take pictures to our works, to see the evolution, so don’t forget to take pictures each week to be aware of the changes.

Jackson Pollock

Pablo Picasso

Niki de Saint Phalle

THERE WE ARE AGAIN!!!

Welcome to our new school year.

As you all know, this blog is devoted to share the art works we will be working with during this school year, but also to know about, what from now on we will call ‘big paintings’. You are supposed to make 3 ‘big paintings’ during the year, and the information needed to do so will be posted in this blog. What we call ‘big paintings’ are oil on canvas works, where the theme and the way of doing is being explained at this page at the beginning of each semester.

To get the school year started, I need you to think about what an ARTIST is. After reading the Guardian’s articles given, you have to post what an artist means for you.
